SHE DID THE MATH
“I remember that I loved getting my nails done for prom. I never really thought about nails before that. My sister inspired me to go on to become a Nail Professional. She was getting her nails done every other week and I started to think about what she was paying times the number of clients the salon had. I thought, ‘Maybe I should do this. It seems to be lucrative.’ So I went to nail school!”
EMPOWERING OTHERS
Gina finds it fun to be creative in her work. “Being a Nail Professional has opened so many doors for me that I never thought it would – from traveling around the world to being creative on my clients’ 10 tiny canvases. It’s so much fun! I love using modern art as inspiration for my nail designs. I love to take that inspiration and translate it to nail styles. Empowering other people and making them feel good is what moves me the most.”
WHEN THE LIGHT GOES ON
“Being a CND Educator has allowed me to really embrace my creativity. Participating in the Beauty Changes Lives experience and Fashion Week has allowed me to think outside the box and challenge myself to be better technically and artistically. I never tire of seeing the look on a Professional’s face when the light bulb pops and they get the concepts that I’m trying to share with them. That’s what motivates me to share my passion about CND!”
CHARGE WHAT YOU’RE WORTH
“Know your worth and charge for it. I think this is a concept we all sometimes struggle with. If there is a product line you love or a Nail Pro that you admire, take as many of those classes as you possibly can. As a group of inspired and educated professionals we are powerful. And this is part of how we elevate our industry – by lifting each other up!”
